With more than 80 acres of public open space, The Bridge has been sensitively designed to protect and enhance the natural environment. Alongside the more formal landscaped areas, ProLogis is providing space for sport and recreation together with a nature reserve and two reclaimed lakes. Each area is linked by a network of footpaths and cycle ways. The mature trees across the site are being protected during the development process and they will be sympathetically integrated into the landscape of the new site. Similarly, the wildlife is being protected to ensure that it will continue to thrive. The nature reserve, for example, protects the many species of invertebrates on the site and special habitats have been built for the water voles.
