In a move that will create many new job and training opportunities for local people, a branch of the Learning Shop has been launched at The Bridge development in Dartford. A partnership between Employ Kent Thameside, North West Kent College, JobCentre Plus and Start, the Learning Shop will help local people and companies benefit from the many new opportunities arising from the regeneration of the area.

As Sally Clarke, Manager at Employ Kent Thameside says: “The partnership of organisations involved in the Learning Shop means we can help local people to secure high quality jobs close to where they live. At the same time, we will be able to meet the skills needs of local employers and to provide practical help and support for new enterprises. Bringing all of these elements together we are confident that we can make a valuable contribution to the local economy.

The Learning Shop is supported by the Kent Thameside Economic Board, ProLogis Developments Ltd, Dartford Borough Council, SEEDA and Urban.
